Spinal/Extremity Manipulative Therapy

Highly skilled, controlled, precise movement usually applied by the hands on the spine or other joints of the body. At times, you may hear an air bubble “pop” due to the pressure changes in the joint. For most patients, it is painless and stimulates feelings of relief and relaxation. It is a technique used to restore proper movement and improve function.

 Joint Mobilizations

The goal of a joint mobilization is the same as a spinal/extremity manipulation/adjustment - to restore proper movement and improve function. The differentiating factors are a slower, gentle, repetitive movements of the joint at end range are used.

Myofascial Release Technique

Highly successful hands-on method that targets the muscles, ligaments, fascia and nerves of the body. It is used to decrease the formation of scar tissue to decrease pain and stiffness, while increasing muscle function and blood flow.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy (IASTM)

IASTM is very similar to the myofascial release technique, but uses specially designed tools to decrease formation of scar tissue, increase muscle/joint function and blood flow, while initiating the healing process of the body.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy uses specially designed cups to “suction” targeted regions of the body. Benefits include: pain relief, relaxation and recovery, detoxification and increased blood flow to the area.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy uses a transducer head, along with a gel-like substance to deliver sound waves to penetrate the tissues of the body to relieve pain and to promote tissue healing. Ultrasound therapy may benefit individuals suffering from osteoarthritis, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, sprain, strains and much more.

Interferential Current Therapy (IFC)

An effective, pain-less therapy used by placing electrodes on the surface of the skin surrounding the injured body part. The IFC delivers electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate healing within the tissues and nerves in the surrounding area. It is extremely useful in reducing pain, inflammation, spasms and an effective form of treatment for chronic pain.

Acupuncture

Aimed at stimulating the body's nervous systems by utilizing thin, single-use sterile needles. This technique draws healing effects to the muscles, spinal cord and brain. It promotes tissue function, improves healing, helps modulate pain, decreases stress and much more!
